Archive one lesson with the source beside it
One honest lesson is worth keeping with its source.
Choose an actual note
Open one dated observation or source record. If you have no record yet, write a research question instead. This exercise does not require a completed growing trial. A useful archive can show what you wanted to learn without pretending that a result has already occurred.
Separate observation and interpretation
Write what was observed with its conditions and date, then put what you think it means on a separate line. Keep the unresolved question visible. An interpretation may change when you gather more information; the original note should still show what you actually knew at the time.
Attach the source
Keep the title, link or manual location, consultation date, and relevant scope beside any advice you use. If the source addresses another region, crop, or setup, note that limitation. An old screenshot without context can be hard to evaluate when you return to the project.
Archive one honest sentence
Finish with one lesson you can support, or one question still needing evidence. Use an existing folder or notebook and keep the format simple. This is a record of inquiry, not a testimonial, a harvest report, or a reason to buy another planning system.
Bring this checklist
- Keep actual observations separate from interpretations.
- Record source, date and scope.
- Mark proposed versus agreed responsibilities.
- Choose one next investigation and return point.
Optional planning supplies
Start with paper, a pencil, and anything you already own. A notebook or binder can help keep observations, source links, and household project questions together.
