How would the plan change across seasons?
That sunny property photo shows a moment, not every season.
Treat the image as a dated observation
A property photo can suggest questions about a proposed growing space, but it should not stand in for a year of observations. This educational Shortlist features no actual parcel or listing image. Make a blank page for the question, the observation date, and the conditions you still need to understand.
Ask what is missing
What information would you want from another time of year? Keep that as an investigation question rather than an assumed seasonal result. A single visit may leave gaps. Do not infer year-round access, crop suitability, water availability, or a growing calendar from an attractive view.
Match the source to the location
Find guidance appropriate to the actual location and proposed use. Keep the answer beside the question it addresses, with the date and limits of its scope. This worksheet does not supply a climate forecast or a land-use determination. It helps prevent a broad conclusion from outrunning the available evidence.
Keep real features behind the gate
A future parcel feature requires current facts and written permission for photos and intended use. Linking a listing does not clear its media rights. Until that work is complete, original educational graphics provide a way to discuss the question without implying a property has been assessed or recommended.
Bring this checklist
- Keep actual observations separate from interpretations.
- Record source, date and scope.
- Mark proposed versus agreed responsibilities.
- Choose one next investigation and return point.
Optional planning supplies
Start with paper, a pencil, and anything you already own. A notebook or binder can help keep observations, source links, and household project questions together.
